Give yourself three uninterrupted days to sew, create, and connect with fellow quilters, all without leaving Lake Forest. This retreat is designed around one idea: set up your machine once, and leave it in place for the whole weekend.
Curiosity Quilt Studio offers a bright, spacious workroom built for makers, with a dedicated table for every participant, a full 4'x8' cutting table, and ironing stations outfitted with wool pressing mats and clappers. Whether you're piecing a quilt top, working through a UFO pile, or starting something brand new, you'll have the space and tools to focus.
What's included:
Each day brings something extra to look forward to. Friday kicks off with a fall-themed Make It and Take It kit, a quick and easy project you'll finish and take home. Saturday features games to break up the sewing and connect with the other quilters in the room. Sunday wraps things up with a show-and-tell, a chance to share what you've made and see everyone else's progress over the weekend.
You'll also have full access to the studio's ironing stations, cutting table, and design walls throughout all three days, plus extended sewing hours Friday and Saturday if you want to keep going into the evening.
Afternoon snacks are included each day. Lunch and dinner are on your own. You're welcome to bring food from home or order in for an extra fee. If you'd like to make a full weekend of it, several hotels are located nearby. Contact the studio for recommendations if you'd like to stay overnight rather than commute each day.
Bring your sewing machine, your current project, and all your quilting essentials. Once you're set up, your table is yours for the entire weekend, so there's no need to pack up between sessions. We can't wait to spend this retreat with you. Happy quilting!
Cancellation Policy: Retreat registrations are nonrefundable. If your spot can be filled from the waitlist, you'll receive a full refund. If Curiosity Quilt Studio has to cancel the retreat, you'll also receive a full refund.
