Whether you're brand new to quilting or ready to level up, join Carrie for this hands-on split class! Beginning students learn fabric prep, cutting, piecing, and finishing while building a project of their own. Intermediate students (prerequisite: Beginning) refine precision piecing, layouts, and borders on a project of their choice. All skill levels welcome!

• Beginning Quilting Supply List

  Book:First-Time Quiltmaking: Learning to Quilt in Six Easy Lessons*

  Fabric for Project Three-Rail Quilt (pg. 60):

  • 3/4 yard focus fabric for blocks

  • 1/3 yard Color 1 for three rail blocks

  • 1/3 yard Color 2 for three rail blocks

  • 1/3 yard Color 3 for three rail blocks

  General Supplies:

  • Thread to match fabrics or a neutral thread

  • 2 fat quarters contrasting fabrics for practice cutting and sewing

  • 80/12 sharp needles

  • Rotary cutter

  • Ruler (6-1/2” x 24” or larger)

  • Quarter-inch foot

  • Quilt clips

  • Straight pins (thin quilting pins)

  • Small scissors

  • Sewing measuring tape

  • Sewing machine in good working order, plus accessories, manual, extra bobbins, knowledge of your sewing machine

  • Extension table (optional)

  Bring a project of your choice—whether it’s a quilt, table runner, placemats, wall hanging, or something new you’ve been wanting to try. Carrie will provide guidance and helpful tips along the way, helping you work through technique, solve challenges, and create a project you’ll be proud to finish.
